In each vortex camera the glow plug is established. Glow plugs are used at start of the cold engine. Giving of tension to glow plugs copes a timer in combination with the diesel electronic control device – system of injection.
The control lamp in a combination of devices burns during the work of candles of an incandescence. After switching off of a lamp the engine can be started. Tension to glow plugs moves within several seconds after inclusion of a control lamp. If the attempt to start the engine after switching off of a lamp does not become, the timer disconnects tension from incandescence candles to avoid a discharge of the accumulator and an overheat of candles of an incandescence.
On models with engines of 1,7 l the fuel filter is also equipped with an element of heating which is established between the filter and a casing and is operated system of prestarting heating. The element of heating joins if temperature of the fuel passing through the filter is less than 5 °C and is switched off after when temperature of fuel reaches 16 °C.
Connect the voltmeter between the feeding tire of candles of an incandescence and the earth. Include ignition and check that tension to candles moves in the corresponding interval of time.
At the air temperature of 20 °C time intervals of giving of tension to glow plugs have to make 3 sec. at which the control lamp burns. Time of burning of a control lamp increases at lower temperatures and decreases at temperature increase. If tension moves to glow plugs, the relay and an electrical wiring means are serviceable.
Using a tester, check integrity of candles of an incandescence, checking resistance between contact in the top part of a candle and the candle case. Resistance of a glow plug is less than 1 Ohm and if the tester shows bigger resistance, the glow plug is faulty.
