Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off a gear belt.

2. For unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the camshaft fix the camshaft to a provorachivaniye or for a pulley of the camshaft or a wrench for camshaft grooves.
3. Unscrew a bolt and remove a pulley from the end of the camshaft. On engines of 1,6 l pulleys of inlet and final camshafts differ from each other. The pulley of the camshaft operating final valves has to be identified by ledges which make active the sensor of position of the camshaft. On l models 1,8 and 2,0 both pulleys identical.

4. Remove a pulley from the end of a bent shaft.

Prevention

For fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft it is necessary to use a new bolt.

5. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft. To prevent a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye, the assistant has to include any transfer and press a brake.
6. Unscrew a bolt and remove a pulley from the end of a bent shaft.

7. Unscrew bolts and remove the belt tension mechanism assembled from the engine.
Single pulley
8. Unscrew a bolt and remove a single pulley from the engine. On l models 1,8 and 2,0 if it is necessary, unscrew a bolt from a suspension bracket of fastening of a pulley or remove a pulley together with a suspension bracket.

Installation

Prevention

At installation of pulleys of camshafts it is necessary to use new bolts.

1. Before installation of pulleys check an oil sealing ring for wear and damage and, if necessary, replace.
2. Check that the adjusting pulley is in a camshaft nest.
3. On models of 1,6 l combine a groove on a pulley with an adjusting pin and fix a pulley by a bolt.
4. On l models 1,8 and 2,0 in pulleys there are two grooves for an adjusting pin. If the pulley is established on the camshaft operating inlet valves, the adjusting pin settles down in a groove with the inscription IN. And if the pulley is established on the camshaft operating final valves, the adjusting pin is established in a groove with inscription EH.
5. Correctly install pulleys on camshafts and fix them by bolts, having tightened the required moment. At the same time fix the camshaft a wrench from a provorachivaniye.
6. Establish a gear belt and establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

7. Establish a pulley on a bent shaft. At the same time the adjusting tag has to be combined with the index.
8. Establish a gear belt.

9. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft. At the same time the adjusting tag has to be combined with the index.
10. Record a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye and tighten a bolt of fastening of a pulley.
11. Establish a gear belt.
Mechanism of a tension of a gear belt
12. Install the tension mechanism, at the same time the ledge on a basic plate has to settle down in an opening of a casing of the oil pump. Previously screw up a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension. Using a six-sided key, turn the tension mechanism lever clockwise against the stop and finally tighten a fastening bolt.
13. Establish a gear belt.
Single pulley
14. On models 1,8 and 2,0 of l establish a suspension bracket of a single pulley to the block of cylinders and fix by bolts, having tightened them the required moment.
15. On all models establish a single pulley and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment.
16. Establish a gear belt.
